ABSTRACT

@#Objective    To explore the application of Tsetlin Machine (TM) in heart beat classification. Methods    TM was used to classify the normal beats, premature ventricular contraction (PVC) and supraventricular premature beats (SPB) in the 2020 data set of China Physiological Signal Challenge. This data set consisted of the single-lead electro-cardiogram data of 10 patients with arrhythmia. One patient with atrial fibrillation was excluded, and finally data of the other 9 patients were included in this study. The classification results were then analyzed. Results    The classification results showed that the average recognition accuracy of TM was 84.3%, and the basis of classification could be shown by the bit pattern interpretation diagram. Conclusion    TM can explain the classification results when classifying heart beats. The reasonable interpretation of classification results can increase the reliability of the model and facilitate people's review and understanding.

ABSTRACT

Objective:To systematically compare the prognosis in non-compressible torso hemorrhage(NCTH)treated by resuscitative endovascular balloon occlusion of the aorta(REBOA)and resuscitation thoracotomy(RT).Methods:Data were searched form MEDLINE, EMBASE, PubMed, WanFang, CNKI and VIP databases to collect studies on the prognosis of patients with NCTH undergone REBOA and RT from inception to December 2020. Two reviewers independently screened studies according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria, extracted data and evaluated the quality of the included studies. The Meta-analysis was performed using Revman 5.3. The patients were divided into REBOA group and RT group according to the different surgical treatment methods on admission, and the prognosis of each group was evaluated. The difference of mortality rate, reoperation rate of laparotomy after operation, reoperation rate of embolization after operation and mortality rate in different operating room area were compared between the two groups. Publication bias was assessed using the Egger test. Results:A total of 2 prospective studies and 4 retrospective studies involving 2, 588 subjects were included. There were 1, 591 patients in REBOA group and 997 patients in RT group. Significant differences were observed in the mortality rate( I2=68%, OR=0.33, 95% CI 0.26-0.42, P<0.01), reoperation rate of laparotomy after operation( I2=76%, OR=1.41, 95% CI 1.11-1.77, P<0.01)and reoperation rate of embolization after operation( I2=84%, OR=0.76, 95% CI 0.59-0.99, P<0.05)between REBOA group and RT group. Subgroup analysis showed that the mortality rate in the ICU were not statistically different between the two groups( I2=83%, OR=0.69, 95% CI 0.45-1.05, P>0.05), but the mortality rate in the emergency room was lower in REBOA group than that in RT group( I2=94%, OR=0.52, 95% CI 0.38-0.70, P<0.01). Egger test showed that publication bias had little effect on the results. Conclusions:For patients with NCTH, REBOA can reduce the mortality rate and reoperation rate of embolization after operation, but increase the reoperation rate of laparotomy after operation when compared with RT. In addition, the emergency room may be a more suitable operationg room area for REBOA.

ABSTRACT

Aim To optimize the traditional method of right catheterization in rats and establish a rapid , stable and reliable method of the right heart catheter guided intubation to measure pulmonary artery pressure. Methods Nighty male wistar rats were used to optimize the method of detection of pulmonary arte-rial pressure. Three catheter namely PE50, PU I, and PU II were used for choosing the best intubation. The new technology of right catheterization was established and used for the research of pulmonary arterial hypertension. Results The PU I catheter was obviously better than PE50 and PU II catheter in the success rate and measurement time ( P <0. 05 ) . The method of right heart catheter guided intubation was significantly superior to the traditional right heart direct intubation (P<0. 05 or P<0. 01). After improving the right catheterization, the detection of hemo-dynamic indexes in PAH-model rat was successful with regular pressure curve and reliable experimental data. Conclusions The right heart catheter guided intubation method has a high suc-cess rate and it can detect the pulmonary artery pressure quick-ly, easily, and can help other researchers to complete experi-ment as efficiently as possible.

ABSTRACT

Public hospitals reform is a key roadblock for the ongoing health reform.By means of such experiments as Three openings and three mechanisms,Beijing is practicing a separation of hospital regulation and management and separation of clinic and pharmacy, while building the mechanism of financial subscription for pricing, that of medical insurance adjustment, and that of hospital corporate governance. These measures aim at building a new management structure, operation mechanism and medical service model focusing on quality of care, efficiency and satisfaction.Separation of clinic and pharmacy has lowered drug proportion, average outpatient expense and out of-pocket payment of patients,as well as producing higher patient satisfaction, quality of care and hospital income.Other benefits include better management efficiency indirectly caused by separation of clinic and pharmacy, higher acceptance of the corporate governance, and service model innovation to better serve the people.

ABSTRACT

ObjectiveTo investigate the methods and clinical significance of detecting PLAC4 and COL6A1 gene on fetal chromosome 21 from maternal peripheral blood. Methods From Oct. 2008 to Nov. 2009 30 normal pregnancies in Weifang People's Hospital were selected as pregnant group, and 9 nonpregnant women were selected as control group. Quantitative real-time PCR was used to determine transcript levels of the target genes ( PLAC4 and COL6A1 ) in blood samples. Correlation between the expression level and gestational age was analyzed. Results ( 1 ) PLAG4 mRNA was detected in peripheral blood of all pregnant women. Its maximum level was 12. 760 × 103 copies/ml, whereas the minimum was 2. 105 × 103 copies/ml, and the average value is 6. 612 × 103 copies/ml. In control group the PLAC4 mRNA could not be detected. There was statistically significant difference ( P < 0. 01 ) between the two groups. ( 2 ) COL6A1 mRNA is detected in pregnant group and control group, and the concentration was 6. 847 × 103 copies/ml and 7. 322 × 103 copies/ml respectively, with no statistically significant difference ( P > 0. 05 ). ( 3 ) Correlation analysis: there was no relationship between the level of PLAC4, COL6A1 mRNA and the gestational age, the correlation coefficients (r) were 0. 29 and 0. 31, and the P values were 0. 121 and 0. 168 respectively. Conclusions COL6A1 mRNA can be detected in both pregnant group and control group, so it is not specific for pregnancy. PLAC4 mRNA can be detected only in pregnant women, so it has specificity in pregnancy and can be a discriminative marker gene for prenatal dignosis of trisomy 21 fetuses.

ABSTRACT

This research was carried out to investigate the effect of basic fibrous growth factor (bFGF) controlled release hydrogel nanoparticles on the proliferation and differentiation of mesenchymal stem cells. The dex-GMA-bFGF-NPs were prepared by an improved emulsion polymerization method; their morphology, size and encapsulated ratio were assessed by routine procedure. Dynamic dialysis method was used to determine the release characteristics of dex-GMA-bFGF-NPs in vitro. The secondary culture MSCs were divided into four groups according the different ingredients being added into the DMEM culture medium: free bFGF group (A), blank dex-GMA nanoparticles group (B), dex-GMA-bFGF nanoparticles group (C), nothing group (D). The proliferation of cultured MSCs was measured by using cell counting method, MTT method and flow cytometry. ALP kit was used to evaluate the ALP activity of the MSCs to show the differentiation of the cells by adding the dex-GMA-bFGF-NPs to the DMEM culture medium (C group) or bFGF only (A group). B group and D group were taken as the controls. The results were analyzed by statistical analysis software (SPSS11.0). All results showed that the shape of dex-GMA-bFGF-NPs was spherical. The encapsulated ratio was 88% and more than 85% of the encapsulated bFGF could be released during 14 days. The in vitro cellular study showed the control release of bFGF from nanoparticles could promote the proliferation of MSCs. After 12 days, the cell number in groups A, B and C was (21.97 +/- 0.25) x 10(4) cells/ml, (12.43 +/- 0.13) x 10(4) cells/ml, (27.45 +/- 0.78) x 10(4) cells/ml and (12.03 +/- 0.43) x 10(4) cells/ml, with the difference being statistically significant among them (P < 0.05). The flow cytometry revealed that the G2/M+S percentage in group C was the highest at 4-8 days after plate culture(P < 0.05). During the first 3 days, the proliferation and differentiation of BMSCs between group A and group B were of no significance (P > 0.05), but were much faster than those of group C and D. After 7 days, dex-GMA-bFGF-NPs could enhance BMSCs proliferation and differentiation continually, but bFGF had no enhancement any more, the difference between group A and group B became more significant (P < 0.05). So we made the conclusions the bFGF loading dex-GMA hydrogel nanoparticles can release bFGF more than 21 days and can promote the proliferation and differentiation of the BMSCs through a long period of controlled release of bFGF. Dex-GMA-bFGF-NPs may be an ideal controlled release carrier for bioactive growth factors.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE: To screen the anti-tumor fraction of ethanol extracts from Thymus quinquecostatus Celak and investigate its anti-tumor effect on human leukemia cell line. METHODS: Ethyl acetate, n-butanol and acetone fractions were separated from the ethanol extracts of wild Thymus quinquecostatus Celak. Growth inhibiting effects of these extracts on human leukemia cell lines K562 and HL-60 were determined by live cell counting and cell growth curve analysis. The possible anti-tumor mechanism was studied by morphological analysis with norcantharidin as a positive control. RESULTS: Ethyl acetate fraction could significantly inhibit the proliferations of K562 and HL-60 cells, and the inhibiting effect depended on the concentration of ethyl acetate fraction. Ethyl acetate fraction could induce apoptosis of K562 and HL-60 cells. The n-butanol and acetone fractions had no significant inhibiting effect on K562 and HL-60 cells. CONCLUSION: Ethyl acetate fraction is the major anti-tumor fraction in ethanol extracts from Thymus quinquecostatus Celak.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE: To study the anti-tumor and immunological effect of extracts from Thymus quinquecostatus Celak on mice transplanted S180 tumor cells. METHODS: Different doses of volatile oil and alcohol extracted substances from Thymus quinquecostatus Celak were given to mice bearing S180 tumor for 9 days. Tumor inhibition rates and coefficients of spleen and thymus were determined. RESULTS: Tumor inhibition rates of the groups with alcohol extracts (40 g crude drug.kg(-1).d(-1) and 20 g crude drug.kg(-1).d(-1)) were 51.5% (P<0.01) and 36.4% (P<0.05) respectively, and those of the groups with volatile oil (40 g crude drug.kg(-1).d(-1) and 20 g crude drug.kg(-1).d(-1))were both 39.4% (P<0.05). CONCLUSION: The extracts from Thymus quinquecostatus Celak have anti-tumor activities. The coefficient of spleen in group with alcohol extracts (40 g crude drug.kg(-1).d(-1))was close to normal value, and its coefficient of thymus was between that of the negative control group and the group with cyclophosphamide (0.02 g.kg(-1).d(-1)). The anti-tumor activity of the alcohol extracts was significantly higher than that of the control group and the tumor inhibition rate was depending on drug concentration. Depending on index of immunity, the extracts from Thymus quinquecostatus Celak may have some influences on immunity.
